Airport background

Located in Abidjan's district of Port-Bouët, Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport was initially built in the 1970s. Extension and renovation work undertaken in 2000 made it one of the most modern airports in West Africa as well as a strategic travel hub. Today, the airport has the capacity to handle up to 2 million passengers a year and all types of aircraft, including Airbus A380.
